A political initiative aimed at reinstating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is gaining traction in Adamawa State, as evidenced by the recent inauguration of a newly formed political pressure group, “Bring Back Tinubu” (BBT). This group has established its leadership across all twenty-one local governments within the state.
In his inaugural address, State Chairman Philip Vandi Samaniya expressed his appreciation for the trust bestowed upon him to lead this movement. He committed to providing effective leadership to coordinate and strategize efforts to mobilize votes in favour of President Tinubu’s bid for a second term.
“As the Chairman of this esteemed coalition, I hereby pledge, on behalf of myself and the entire leadership of BBT, to collaborate with all members across various levels—in unity, sincerity, and unwavering dedication—to realize the vision and objectives of the Bring Back Tinubu 2027 initiative,” Mr Samaniya remarked.
He characterized the coalition as not merely a political entity but rather a national movement, founded on hope, inspired by progress, and rooted in the leadership of President Tinubu.
Mr. Samaniya further announced plans for a rally projected to attract 5,000 participants in support of the Bring Back Tinubu movement, scheduled to occur on May 29, 2025. “This date is emblematic of our democratic journey and signifies a renewed national direction. We intend to use this occasion to reaffirm our support and engage grassroots efforts for the continuation of President Tinubu’s transformative leadership,” he stressed.
He acknowledged the contributions of numerous key figures, including the National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, Alhaji Idi Mukhtar, the Honourable Minister of Livestock; General Muhammadu Buba Marwa (Rtd), Chairman of NOLEA; Captain Alex Badeh Jnr of the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB); and Dr Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Communication to the current government.
“Your involvement in this administration is not only significant but also serves as an inspiration for many of us in Adamawa. We urge you to support the BBT 5,000-man rally and other mobilization initiatives, as the success of this movement is a collective achievement,” he articulated.
The event was chaired by Mustapha Ribadu, the Adamawa State Publicity Secretary of the APC, who was represented by Isa Bakalchi. Mr. Ribadu commended the initiative and assured the group of their commitment to ensuring the reelection of President Tinubu. He urged the newly inaugurated Local Government Coordinators to disseminate the coalition’s vision within their respective communities.
In his address, Dr. Asondolo Bedson, Coordinator for the Adamawa Southern Zone, emphasized the movement’s importance, asserting that it reaffirms a shared vision based on unity, continuity, and national progress under trusted leadership.
“Today, we convene as patriots, united by a common purpose to fortify the gains of democracy and good governance as exemplified by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. His administration has brought forth critical reforms, fostered hope, and revitalized national ambition,” Dr. Bedson asserted.
He further articulated that the movement represents a decisive commitment to maintaining momentum, deepening impact, and restoring a leadership model characterized by attentiveness, understanding, and the delivery of results.
“This movement transcends a mere political platform; it is a national convergence of will, passion, and conviction. We take pride in declaring that Bring Back Tinubu 2027 is supported by all registered political parties in Nigeria, transcending party affiliations, ideologies, and lines. This coalition signifies a new chapter in our democratic journey—one where patriotism supersedes partisanship,” he concluded.
The event culminated in the formal inauguration of the executive committees for both state and local governments, led by Barrister Audu Samuel, along with the presentation of official letters of appointment.
