Seven people have been confirmed dead following a renewed attack by suspected insurgents on Garaha Lar village in Adamawa State.
The Chairman of Hong Local Government Area, Hon. Usman Wa’aganda, confirmed the incident, noting that one resident remains missing. He added that several houses and properties were also destroyed during the assault.
Wa’aganda further revealed that a local vigilante lost his life when a bomb detonated as he attempted to secure the area.
In addition, a police patrol van from the Garaha Police Station was destroyed by an improvised explosive device (IED). Fortunately, no officers were injured, as they had exited the vehicle moments before the blast.
