The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has called for strengthened partnerships between security agencies, government institutions, and local communities to enhance safety and combat crime across Nigeria.
During a working visit to Adamawa State, Egbetokun commissioned a newly constructed, ultra-modern Police Headquarters complex. The facility is expected to improve operational efficiency, address office accommodation challenges, and enhance the working environment for officers, ultimately boosting their morale and effectiveness in policing.
The IGP reiterated his administration’s commitment to capacity building, ensuring officers receive adequate training, modern equipment, and technological tools necessary to tackle evolving security threats. He also underscored the importance of community engagement in intelligence gathering and crime prevention, urging residents to collaborate with law enforcement for a safer society.
