As Kate Raymond Mamuno, the Majority Leader of the Adamawa State House of Assembly and Member representing Demsa Constituency, marks six years in office, her tenure stands out for its purposeful leadership, legislative accomplishments, and unwavering commitment to grassroots development.

In the course of her legislative service, Mamuno has championed several landmark bills that have significantly impacted the lives of her constituents and the state at large. Notable among them are the Adamawa State Health Insurance Scheme Law, the Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) Law, the Child Rights Protection Law, and a bill providing free maternity services and essential medications for pregnant women and children.

Her voice has echoed powerfully on the floor of the House through critical motions addressing pressing local challenges—ranging from fire outbreaks in Demsa and Dilli, to flood disasters in Nasarawo Demsa and Borrong Mbula, and the urgent call for the electrification of Dong, Kpasham, and Bille wards.

A staunch advocate for quality education, she has overseen the construction of classroom blocks in primary schools across the constituency, including those in Kulasala, Kwafara, Zuran II, Billachi, Farabaraune, and Kodomun. She also ensured the supply of essential teaching materials—such as chalks, exercise books, and blackboards—to enhance learning.

As Majority Leader, she has successfully lobbied for major infrastructure projects, such as:

The electrification of Dong, Kpasham, and Bille wards, a 6.8-kilometre road construction linking Old Demsa and the establishment of a 60-bed cottage hospital in Demsa.

Water supply has also received her attention, with the drilling of boreholes in Faraliyon and Gorogbakai communities, and the rehabilitation of existing ones in Zuran II, Gada Nomye, Bolong, Dong, Bille, and Mbula.

In times of crisis, the Lawmaker has extended a helping hand by distributing relief materials—such as maize, essential drugs, and financial support—to victims of fire and flood disasters in Dilli, Borrong, and New Demsa Wards. She further provided 2,300 safe delivery kits to clinics across the local government area.

Her empowerment drive has uplifted many youths and women through the provision of sewing machines, motorcycles, and clothing materials. She has also secured admission for 50 students into the College of Legal Studies Yola (Numan Campus) and provided financial support to many others in tertiary institutions.

Other notable interventions include:

Renovation of the INEC office in Demsa, repairs on the Nasarawo Demsa road and rehabilitation of the road network in Demsa Main Market.

As she celebrates six years of dedicated service, Kate Raymond Mamuno remains a shining example of responsive representation, and she reaffirms her resolve to continue delivering transformative leadership that uplifts the people of Demsa Constituency and beyond.
