In response to the 24-hour curfew declared by the Adamawa State Government following recent violent attacks and a breakdown of public order in parts of Lamurde Local Government Area, the Adamawa State Police Command urges all residents in the affected communities to comply fully by remaining indoors.
The Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, has ordered the deployment of additional operational assets to Lamurde LGA to ensure strict enforcement of the curfew and prevent further escalation of violence. All measures will be taken within the bounds of the law to restore peace and protect lives and property.
The Command, in collaboration with other security agencies, remains committed to upholding the rights of citizens while urging the public to refrain from any actions that could endanger public safety or fuel unrest.
The Command also issues a stern warning to criminal elements: any attempt to exploit the situation for lawless activities will be met with decisive action. While security personnel are directed to act with restraint, any threat to lives or public order will not go unchallenged.
The Adamawa State Police Command calls on community leaders and residents to cooperate fully and report any suspicious activity to the nearest security agency.
