The Adamawa State Police Command has commenced full enforcement of the Tinted Glass Permit (TGP) law across the state.
According to a statement issued on Thursday, October 2, 2025, by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the operation is being carried out simultaneously in all 21 local government areas, with mobile court judges on ground to handle violations.
Motorists have been reminded that only vehicles with valid tinted glass permits obtained through the official portal, www.possap.gov.ng, will be allowed to ply the roads. Those who fail to comply risk arrest and prosecution in line with the law.
The Command appealed for cooperation from road users, assuring the public that the exercise will be conducted professionally, fairly, and with respect for citizens’ rights. It also warned officers against extortion or harassment during the operation.
“Members of the public are encouraged to report any misconduct to the office of the Commissioner of Police or the Police Complaint Response Unit (PCRU),” the statement read.
