The Member representing Nassarawo-Binyeri Constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Mohammed Babangida Njidda, has called on eligible voters in his constituency to take advantage of the ongoing registration of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Speaking in an interview with a NAS FM Radio reporter, Njidda emphasized that the PVC remains the key instrument for citizens to exercise their democratic rights — both to vote and to be voted for — in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
He acknowledged that the ongoing rainy season has kept many residents busy on their farms, but appealed to them to make time to visit registration centers across the area. According to him, meaningful participation in governance begins with obtaining a voter’s card.
“I know this is a busy farming period for most of our people, but I urge everyone to spare some time and register. The power to decide who leads us lies in the PVC,” Njidda said.
The lawmaker also used the opportunity to appeal to the Adamawa State Government to urgently rehabilitate the Mararaban Tola–Binyeri Road. He noted that the deplorable condition of the road poses challenges to farmers, especially during the harvest season, as it hampers the easy transportation of farm produce.
“Fixing this road will not only improve access for our people but also enhance the movement of goods from farms to markets,” he added.
Babangida reiterated his commitment to continue advocating for infrastructural development and political participation within Nassarawo-Binyeri Constituency.
