The Adamawa State Police Command says it has launched a full-scale investigation into the gruesome murder of Mr. Thomas Godwin, also known as “Zamfara,” who was tragically killed on the night of Tuesday, April 15, 2025.
According to preliminary findings, Mr. Godwin was attacked by unidentified individuals while returning home. He was reportedly beaten with sticks and clubs, resulting in his death.
A statement made available to newsmen by the Force Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje, indicates that the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to lead a thorough investigation. A team of seasoned detectives has been deployed to unravel the circumstances surrounding the murder and ensure those responsible are brought to justice.
The Adamawa State Police Command extended its condolences to the deceased’s family and assured the public that no stone would be left unturned in pursuing justice, and urged members of the public to provide any useful information that may assist the investigation.
