The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Adamawa State Council, has extended its heartfelt felicitations to the Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri; his Deputy, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta; the Speaker and Members of the State House of Assembly; Members of the State Executive Council; Emirs and Chiefs; the entire Muslim Ummah; and the good people of Adamawa State on the joyous occasion of Eid al-Adha.
A statement signed by Fidelis Jockthan, the State Secretary of the Union, noted that as Muslim faithful offer sacrifices and prayers, the NUJ reminds the Ummah of the profound significance of this sacred festival — promoting charity, unity, and goodwill towards the less privileged.
“Your devotion carries profound meaning during this solemn period. Let your prayers foster unity among the diverse cultures of our State and help safeguard the prevailing peace we all cherish,” the statement reads.
The NUJ also urges collective prayers for the continued success of Governor Fintiri’s administration and the deepening of democracy across the State.
Additionally, the Union calls on all citizens to remember in their prayers:
the safe return of Nigerian pilgrims from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, abundant rainfall, and strengthened security across the State.
“May this Holy season bring blessings, progress, and prosperity to our people and our beloved State,” the statement concludes.
