The author of The 168 Laws of Loyalty, Professor Vadlya T. Tame, has described loyalty as a vital instrument for rebuilding values, leadership, and moral renewal in society.

Professor Tame stated this on Friday during a press briefing at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Conference Hall, Yola, ahead of the public launch of his new book, The 168 Laws of Loyalty, scheduled for Saturday, 18th October 2025, at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Yola.

He said the book is the product of years of reflection, leadership experience, and observation on what sustains trust, relationships, and national development.

“This book is more than a publication — it is a call to rediscover the values that hold families, institutions, and nations together,” Professor Tame said. “Loyalty is not blind allegiance but a conscious commitment to truth, purpose, and people. It is the discipline that sustains leadership, strengthens organizations, and stabilizes communities.”

According to him, The 168 Laws of Loyalty explores loyalty as the foundation of leadership and integrity, presenting it as the moral force that binds vision and responsibility. He added that the 168 laws in the book reveal how loyalty operates as a virtue essential for effective leadership in politics, religion, academics, and social life.

The book also features an endorsement by His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas, Governor of Taraba State, who wrote:

“In my 21 years of active military service, I learned that loyalty and discipline are inseparable. Loyalty without discipline loses its strength, and discipline without loyalty becomes mechanical. Together, they form the bedrock of trust, courage, and enduring leadership.”

Professor Tame emphasized that the message of loyalty is crucial at a time when betrayal and disloyalty have become normalized in many sectors of society.

“Loyalty is the invisible glue of greatness. Without it, leadership becomes noise; with it, vision finds expression,” he said.

He explained that tomorrow’s book launch will be more than a formal presentation, describing it as a celebration of values, leadership, and national renewal.

The event is expected to draw attendance from government officials, traditional rulers, academics, faith leaders, and citizens committed to promoting character-based leadership.

Professor Tame expressed appreciation to the Book Launch Committee, the media, and supporters who contributed to the project. He also thanked His Excellency, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, GSSRS, Executive Governor of Adamawa State, for his support toward the launch.

“I invite all lovers of truth, loyalty, and leadership to join us as we unveil The 168 Laws of Loyalty. Together, let us begin a movement of faithful hearts and trustworthy leaders,” he said.
