Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has approved the immediate dissolution of the Management Board of the Jimeta Modern Market.
As a result, the Board Chairman and all members have been relieved of their duties and instructed to hand over all government property in their possession to the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry. The Commissioner will now oversee the market’s operations.
A release signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Humwashi Wonosikou, Governor Fintiri emphasized the importance of a smooth transition and directed the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to ensure the continued functionality of the market.
“The Ministry must work diligently to maintain operations and support the welfare of all market stakeholders,” the Governor stated. He further stressed the need to foster a business-friendly environment that promotes economic growth across the state.
“The success of the Jimeta Market is vital to Adamawa’s economy, and we expect the Ministry to take all necessary steps to ensure its efficient management,” he added
