APC Primary: Golfa Mallum Emerges Consensus Candidate for Guyuk/Shelleng Constituency

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has successfully concluded its primary election for the Guyuk/Shelleng Constituency, with Chief Golfa Mallum Chaugwarau emerging as the consensus candidate to represent the party in the 2027 general elections.

The primary election, which was held peacefully at the APC secretariat in Guyuk, was supervised by the party’s electoral official, Ezekiel Fuu, who was delegated to oversee the exercise.
Announcing the outcome, Fuu commended delegates and party members for conducting themselves in an orderly and peaceful manner throughout the process, describing the exercise as transparent, credible, and hitch-free.

The primary attracted the presence of several party stakeholders and government officials, including the APC Chairman in Guyuk Local Government Area, Ishaku Dauda; the Guyuk LGA Chairman, Shalom Kasaa; and the Adamawa State Commissioner for Transport, Wunfe Anthony, alongside other senior party officials.

Speaking shortly after the announcement, Fuu praised the maturity displayed by delegates during the exercise, noting that the peaceful conduct of the primary reflected the party’s readiness for the 2027 elections.

Chief Golfa Mallum, popularly known as “Mama Mai Transformer,” has earned widespread recognition across the constituency for her contributions to grassroots development and humanitarian support despite not holding any political office.

Her emergence was greeted with jubilation by supporters, who described the victory as a clear demonstration of the confidence reposed in her leadership qualities, accessibility, and commitment to community development.

A total of ten aspirants contested in the APC primary election for the constituency, with Golfa Mallum securing the confidence of delegates to emerge victorious.

Party leaders and stakeholders described the smooth conduct of the exercise as a positive sign for the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections in Adamawa State.
