The Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN) has extended warm congratulations to the Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, on the conferment of an Honorary Doctor of Science Degree in Public Administration by the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The award was presented to Governor Fintiri during the institution’s 35th Convocation Ceremony held on July 26, 2025. The honorary degree recognizes the governor’s outstanding leadership, commitment to good governance, and contributions to the socio-economic development of Adamawa State and the nation.

In a congratulatory message signed by the Archbishop of LCCN, Most Rev. Dr. Musa Panti Filibus, OFR, the church praised the governor for his transformational policies and dedication to public service.

“This honour is a testament to your exemplary leadership and your unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people,” the Archbishop said. “Your performance as governor has confirmed you as a visionary leader and advocate for unity, progress, and sustainable development.”

The LCCN noted that the recognition from a prestigious institution such as the University of Port Harcourt underscores the governor’s rising national profile and the far-reaching impact of his leadership.

“We are proud to witness your recognition as a distinguished statesman whose influence resonates both within and beyond our borders,” the message continued.

Archbishop Filibus expressed optimism that the honorary degree would serve as further encouragement for Governor Fintiri in his ongoing service to the people of Adamawa State and Nigeria. He also offered prayers for divine wisdom, strength, and protection for the governor in the discharge of his duties.

The church concluded by reaffirming its support and best wishes to the governor, stating: “On behalf of the LCCN family, I once again say congratulations, Your Excellency, on this well-earned honour.”
