Elders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa South Senatorial Zone have endorsed Peter Leonard Ndwacho Fwa as their preferred candidate for the 2027 senatorial election.
The endorsement was announced during a meeting held at Livad Hotel.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Muyinani Peter Aini, said the endorsement followed consultations among party leaders and stakeholders across the nine local government areas of the zone. He said the elders remained committed to the unity and progress of the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The stakeholders described Chief Fwa as a loyal party member who sacrificed his personal ambition for party unity during the 2019 senatorial contest. According to them, he stepped down after consultations with party leaders despite enjoying strong support among delegates.
They further stated that Fwa has consistently supported the APC at ward, local government, and state levels through financial contributions and active participation in party activities. They added that his senatorial ambition was driven by the desire to tackle underdevelopment, insecurity, youth unemployment, and poor representation in Adamawa South.

The elders highlighted several empowerment programmes allegedly championed by Fwa, including scholarship schemes, youth empowerment initiatives, skills acquisition programmes, medical support, and peace-building efforts across communities in the zone.
They also pointed to his public service record, noting that he served with the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) and later worked as Personal Assistant to former First Lady Patience Jonathan. According to the stakeholders, he also served as General Manager of the Adamawa State Urban Development Authority, contributing to infrastructural development in Yola and Jimeta.
The group called on Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, APC leaders, and other stakeholders to support Chief Fwa’s emergence as the party’s flag bearer for Adamawa South Senatorial District in 2027, expressing confidence that his candidacy would strengthen the party and provide effective representation for the people.
