Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has urged residents to embrace the spirit of peace, unity, and selflessness during the Easter celebration.
In his Easter message, Governor Fintiri reflected on the teachings of Jesus Christ, calling on Christians to extend love and support to the less privileged in society.
“Easter is a sacred period, especially for Christians, as it commemorates the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a season of self-sacrifice—just as Christ gave His life for the salvation of mankind and the peace of the world,” the Governor stated.
He encouraged citizens to emulate Christ’s compassion by deliberately reaching out to those in need.
“Let us make it our responsibility to show love by offering a helping hand to the needy this Easter, in the spirit of Christ’s boundless sacrifice on the cross,” he added.
Governor Fintiri also emphasized the importance of unity and peace in building a stronger Adamawa.
“I send this message of goodwill and best wishes, praying that we uphold the unity that binds us. Together, we can continue to build a peaceful and respected State we’re all proud of—one where forgiveness, harmony, and progress prevail.”
“May this Easter bring us peace, joy, and a renewed commitment to our shared humanity and national unity.”
