The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Adamawa State Council, has felicitated Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and the Muslim community on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr.
In a statement signed by the Council’s Secretary, Fidelis Jockthan, the NUJ extended its best wishes to the Governor, his Deputy, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, the Speaker and Members of the State House of Assembly, the State Executive Council, traditional rulers, and the entire people of Adamawa State.
The union urged Muslims to uphold the values of love, forgiveness, tolerance, and charity, which are central to the Ramadan season, and to continue practicing them beyond the festivities.
“As you celebrate with your loved ones, we encourage you to reflect on the lessons of Ramadan and extend acts of kindness to others,” the statement read.
The NUJ reaffirmed its commitment to promoting peace and democracy in the state, commending Governor Fintiri’s administration for fostering development. It also called for sustained prayers for continued progress in Adamawa.
The statement concluded with prayers for divine blessings and prosperity for all.
