Adamawa CAN Chairman Debunks Rumour of His Death, Says “I Am Safe and Alive”

The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Adamawa State has dismissed as fake news reports circulating on social media alleging that he was beheaded.

In a statement issued by the state chapter of CAN, the Christian body described the claim as a wicked fabrication intended to cause panic and discredit both the government and security agencies.

The association said the false report was the work of “agents of the underworld” whose aim is to create confusion and tension in the already fragile atmosphere of the country.

The statement further called on security agencies to investigate and apprehend those behind the fake report, noting that their action poses a serious threat to peace, unity, and security in the state and the country at large.

Adamawa CAN also commended the state Police Command for its prompt response and for issuing a clarification to set the record straight. The association urged the police to carry out a detailed investigation and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
