Fight Erupts Among PDP Women Over Stipend Sharing in Adamawa

A scuffle broke out on Saturday among women supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the party’s state secretariat in Adamawa over the sharing of stipends allegedly given to them by a party official.

The incident occurred during the ward congresses when a group of women, known for regularly visiting the secretariat to praise politicians in hopes of receiving favours, clashed over claims of unfair distribution of the money.

Trouble reportedly began when one of the women, was accused of withholding part of the stipend after receiving it from a party official. Another member of the group, alleged that the receiver of the money had taken a larger share for herself and confronted her. The disagreement escalated into a physical fight, leaving both women injured.
