Speaking after receiving the award, Engr. Abubakar described the recognition as a major milestone in his professional journey.

“This is the height of recognition as a professional. When your professional body acknowledges your efforts and announces to the world that you are doing well, it serves as encouragement and a strong motivation to do more,” he said.

He further assured the Society and the public of his continued commitment to impactful initiatives, stressing that the recognition would inspire even greater efforts in advancing community development.

Engr. Abubakar also used the opportunity to call on government and stakeholders to create more platforms that recognise and support engineers, noting their critical role in national development.

“I want to call the attention of the public and government to create more platforms like this to motivate engineers. Most of the development we see today is driven by engineers, and there is a need to appreciate their contributions so we can achieve even more,” he added.

The event brought together professionals, industry leaders, and stakeholders, serving not only as a celebration of achievements but also as a platform to inspire excellence and innovation within the engineering community.

The NSE Yola Branch reaffirmed its commitment to promoting professional standards, recognising excellence, and encouraging initiatives that contribute to societal growth and national development.
